Jean Luc Lafitte
DC (WSC), Dip. MCST, MAMCST
Further Information
There are various forms of Chiropractic adjustment, and just as a skilled mechanic uses different tools from his tool box to fix a car, Jean Luc uses diversified Chiropractic adjustment techniques, because no two patients are the same, and in his opinion no two adjustments can be the same.
The two techniques he uses the most are called McTimoney-Corley Skeletal Therapy (MCST) and Koren Specific Technique (KST). The advantage of this is that with McTimoney-Corley and KST technique some of the spinal corrections can be done sitting or standing. When the spine comes under constant stress and strain from daily modern living, there is bound to be a point where the body can no longer cope. This point is called subluxation and can be caused by physical, emotional or chemical stress. As a result, people suffer from complaints such as headaches, sciatica, lack of energy, and a myriad of other symptoms. The great thing about the McTimoney-Corley and KST method of treatment is that not only are they gentle techniques, but also very powerful, this means longer-lasting results. McTimoney-Corley and KST let the Chiropractor easily and gently find the point of subluxation, but also in the order that the body requires. This also includes the bones such as the feet, hands, and head. The advantage of using diversified techniques is that it lets the Chiropractor adjust the patient in different positions. This is important because if there is pain when a person sits down, but no pain when they stand up, it makes sense to treat the person in the position that causes the pain.
